Meanwhile, PepsiCo announced to donate $1 million to support the project. The relevant person in charge of the publicity and Education Department of the Ministry of ecological environment said, "the construction of a waste free city needs the cooperation and participation of the government, enterprises and the public. At the social level, it is particularly necessary to cultivate the concept of waste free, form the joint force of thought and action in the whole society, and create a good social environment and a solid social foundation. It is necessary to spread the concept of no waste to the public through various channels, take the green lifestyle as the guide, promote the reduction of domestic waste and resource conservation, and guide the public to practice the simple and moderate green and low-carbon lifestyle in all aspects such as clothing, food, housing, transportation and tourism. This is a rather long process, and it is also a habit forming process internalized in the heart and externalized in the form. "
It is reported that the contents of the project include "no waste" knowledge lectures, practical activities, equipped with waste classification hardware facilities, etc., to promote students to participate in "waste free" knowledge learning and practice activities, and promote the source reduction and resource utilization of domestic waste. At the same time, the project will pilot the "waste free" smart community, implement the "waste free" propaganda from the concept and consciousness to the actual action, and build a green "waste free" lifestyle of the whole people. It is estimated that the project will directly cover and affect more than 500000 students and community residents.
At the same time, the propaganda and education center of the Ministry of ecological environment announced the formal establishment of the "waste free public education alliance". Relying on the national policy of waste classification and circular economy, as well as the platform and resources of the publicity and education center of the Ministry of ecological environment, the "waste free public education alliance" is committed to building a communication, cooperation and action platform for waste management and resource recycling among the government, enterprises, scholars, the public and social organizations, so as to promote China's waste management, circular economy and low-carbon economy To develop. "PepsiCo waste free public education project" is the first demonstration project of the alliance, and PepsiCo is also the first batch of enterprise members of the alliance.
