The office of the leading group of ecological environmental protection of Shanxi Province and the office of the leading group of water pollution prevention and control of Shanxi Province recently targeted 7 cities including Taiyuan, Shuozhou, Luliang, Jinzhong, Yangquan, Linfen and Yuncheng, and Qingxu, Lanxian, Wenshui, Xingxian, Linxian, Shilou and Pingping The main heads of the people's governments of Yao county, Fenxi County, Wanrong County, Yuncheng economic and Technological Development Zone and other 10 counties (districts) conducted open and centralized interviews.

It is understood that on April 12, 2019, the Shanxi provincial Party committee and the provincial government held a high-level meeting on the work of river (Lake) system and Fenhe River basin governance to 11 municipal governments, issued the mission statement on water pollution governance, clarified the mission statement and schedule for the construction of key water pollution governance projects in all regions, and put forward the regulation principles and time limit requirements for the river drainage outlets of Fenhe River Basin. Up to now, of the 148 key water pollution prevention and control projects in the province, 132 have been completed, and 16 have not been completed; 2039 sewage outlets in the Fenhe River Basin, and 105 have not been completed.

At the meeting, leaders of the people's governments of seven cities, including Taiyuan and Shuozhou, said that they sincerely accepted the interview and learned from it. With a sense of urgency of "being unable to sit, wait, or slow down", they fulfilled their duties and responsibilities in a down-to-earth manner, resolutely fought a green water defense war, and ensured the continuous and stable improvement of water environment quality.
