Plastic bottled purified water is also prohibited in school canteens. By 2021, the government will also increase efforts to ban the sale of plastic cup drinking water, plastic straw and mixing rod, and polystyrene lunch boxes.
In order to promote green travel, the French government will increase its support for people to buy new electric vehicles and hydrogen powered vehicles. From this year, for vehicles with CO2 emissions less than 20g / km, the reward quota will be increased by 50% to support the transition to clean energy vehicles. When consumers buy clean energy vehicles, they can get bonuses ranging from 3000 euros to 6000 euros depending on the purchase price range. In addition, the government has also adjusted the fine regulations on automobile exhaust emissions and pollution levels. According to the announcement, the threshold of CO2 emission of vehicles subject to fines has been changed from 117g / km to 110g / km, the upper limit of fines has increased from 10500 euros to 20000 euros, and the amount of fines at different levels has generally doubled or even tripled.
The announcement also focused on strengthening the protection of biodiversity. According to the regulations, the French biodiversity office was established on January 1. It integrates the functions of the French biodiversity Bureau and the French national wildlife administration. There are about 1700 environmental law enforcement personnel nationwide, and it will play an important role in the investigation, detection and punishment of biological diversity destruction.
